Todd Nettelhorst

Who you’re working with

Todd Nettelhorst is a photographer and educator who’s spent years in the field and in the classroom. He doesn’t just teach settings — he teaches how to see light, read behavior, and make decisions in the moment.

His workshops, mentoring, and speaking are built on the same thing: practical steps, honest feedback, and a focus on what actually improves your images. Beyond teaching, he serves as President of the Board for Future Frame Society, helping connect and support emerging photographers worldwide.

When he’s not teaching, he’s shooting — wildlife, landscape, and the kind of work you see in his portfolio: intentional, story-driven, and rooted in real conditions.

Mission

Why I do this

I believe the best photography comes from seeing clearly and acting with intention — in the field and in the edit. My job is to give you the frameworks, the feedback, and the reps so you stop guessing and start making decisions you can stand behind. That’s true in workshops, in mentoring, and when I’m on stage. Same standard: practical, supportive, and aimed at your growth.
